Kindergarten Langenlängeweg

An existing listed double kindergarten dating from 1952 is being renovated and expanded to include a third unit. The project is based on a simple urban design concept: the existing kindergarten, characterized by two pentagonal tent roofs and a connecting flat-roofed structure, is complemented by a simple rectangular volume with a pitched roof and a pavilion with a mono-pitched roof. The result is a composition of distinctive geometric forms, reminiscent of toys in a garden, which relate to one another without imitating each other.
